PFGM Formation Days for the Hamilton Diocese were held on Saturday 21st May at the Cathedral Parish Centre in Hamilton, for the Waikato region, and on Sunday 22nd May at Parish Centre of St Pius X Catholic Church in Katikati, for the Bay of Plenty region.
Both days were presented and lead by Fr Brian Traynor, who again delivered excellent thought provoking and challenging series of presentations on our church in the current times. We began with a customary reflective prayer, and then a review how much change our World has seen since 1988, when Passionist Family Groups began in NZ, and more recent issues, including:
Terrorism, Islamism, The Shifting Populations, Refugees, Consumerism and the Poor, Care of our Common Home (Climate Change)
Yet we have much hope in the messages from Pope Francis and his new sense of Mission. There is hope for our world, but we need to listen and act.
Again, our grateful thanks to Fr Brian for superb content and presentation.
