Otago & Southland Regional Weekend – Waihola 14-16 March 2008

The South Island Formation weekends were held in Christchurch and Dunedin in Mar/April this year. The theme of the weekend was’ the weaver’. The programme followed how our relationships and our lives weave together and often follow the example of the early Christians.

There was an excellent presentation on our role as Christians and our responsibilities, and what we can do, to protect the environment for our future generations. The programme was received enthusiastically by the PFGM members who attended and they left spiritually nourished and enriched with further skills to take back to their Family Group as well as their Parish and the wider community.

Father Brian Traynor facilitated the weekends with his usual skill and style and we thank him for his ongoing support and development of PFGM in the South Island. Hope you and your family are all well and the planning for WYD is where it needs to be. We will be hosting some WYD participants from the USA for 5 days which we are looking forward to.
