Southern Region Parish Coordinators Weekend 2005 - Gunn's Bush, Waimate

Passionist Family Group Movement Parish Coordinators and other Parish representatives met recently in the idyllic location of Gunn’s Bush Waimate, for the annual Parish Coordinators formation weekend. A large number of parishes from the Otago and Christchurch Diocese’s attended the weekend.

Brian Traynor CP. delivered an excellent programme which covered areas like Sport and the Church, being open to future challenges and The X & Y Generation. There were many opportunities to share our experiences as well as listening to the experiences of the other parishes.

There was a fantastic session on Body sculpturing which gave us the opportunity to act out how we felt Passionist Family Groups were performing in our Parishes. A number of photos were taken and this might help explain what some of the strange poses were all about.

There was a positive air from all who attended the weekend and this bodes well for PFGM’s in the future. There are a number of parishes making enquiries to start PFGM. The Movement continues to gain strength which can be put down to the enthusiasm, outreach and love that all member of the PFGM’s live.

The weekend confirmed that there are many people involved in the movement that are very generous of their time and talents and are living the Gospel in a very practical way.
