Lower Hutt 15th Anniversary - 2005

The 15th birthday celebration at Sts Peter & Pauls went very well. Mons John Carde celebrated the Mass (he was Parish Priest at the time the PFGs were established there).

The 15 year candle was on the altar and Mons John's homily both congratulated the PFG on the 15 years and challenged all to include "A family for all" - Sunday was refugee Sunday as well.

Mass was followed by a shared meal in the church hall and was attended by
200+ of the PFG members as well as others who were interested. Fr James
Lyons (Parish Priest) was extremely supportive and assisted with the ham and wine for the celebration.

An excellent day and a lot of joy that 15 years is just the beginning and, as Mons John Carde said in the homily,
"We still may be part of the early Church as who is to say that we are only 2000 years into God's 5000 or 10,000 year plan?"
